“TICKET TO PLAY”
NO TICKET= NO TRYOUT

All East Chapel Hill High School student athletes MUST COMPLETE the “Ticket to Play” process prior to trying out for an athletic team. This is a NEW process and is intended to ensure that all eligibility paperwork, including physicals, is completed, signed and submitted prior to tryouts and/or practices. Please take a moment to review this new and mandatory process for all student athletes.

All student-athletes are required to complete and submit the following forms, which can be found by clicking on the “SPORTS MEDICINE” tab on http://eastwildcats.com/:

      • Physical Form
      • NCHSAA Consent
      • CHCCS Consent
      • Concussion Awareness

All form must include required signatures and initials in order to be accepted.

Students will receive a “Ticket” once all of the required paperwork has been submitted and an initial eligibility check has been performed by a member of the athletic department staff. After the “Ticket” has been issued, the student will need to give the “Ticket” to the head varsity coach of the sport they want to try-out for. If a student anticipates trying out for multiple sports throughout the year, they will need to get a “Ticket” for each sport. Multiple “Tickets” can be given to students at the same “Ticket to Play” session as long as the physical will be valid during the tryout period of each of the sports.

If a student is found to not be eligible he/she will not receive a “Ticket” and will not be allowed to try-out.

Summer 2016 “Ticket to Play” sessions will be held on

July 25th- July 28th 12:00-2:00 pm
August 1 7:00 am-9:00 am and 4:00-5:00
August 8 3:30 pm- 6:00 pm

in the Wildcat Area.

Once the school year begins, “Ticket to Play” sessions will take place every Thursday at lunch in Wildcat.

If you have any questions regarding “Ticket to Play” please feel free to contact East Chapel Hill Interim Athletic Director Ebony Slade at ebony.slade@chccs.k12.nc.us
