Wildcats News · Softball | 2-2 at Spring Break

A very young Wildcat team, beset with multiple games rained out, is off to a .500 start.

on March 8th and 18th respectively.

The “mercy rule” cut both ways as the ‘Cats fell to the Orange 12-0 on March 12 in five innings.
The Panther’s Jackson & Hurdle hit back-to-back homers in the 4th inning, while in the 5th inning
Jackson’s triple was followed by Hurdle’s 2nd 4 bagger.

In the last game before the break, Tuesday March 19, the Wildcats looked to be in danger of another early exit at Northern.
They were down 10-1 after four innings but rallied with 10 runs of their own to briefly take the lead in the top of the fifth.
The Ladies were able to maintain their offensive momentum, plating 5 additional runs in their next two at bats.
The Wildcats plated 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning to close the gap to 2 and had the tying runs aboard when the game ended.
The return/home game was rained out

JV Softball opened their season at Northern on the 19th as well.
The 3 run outing, a 15-0 loss, was the first organized game for most members of the team.

East resumes play with rainout makeup home games vs Hillside Wednesday and Northern Thursday. Both will be V/JV doubleheaders.
If the weather cooperates!
