Wildcats Falls To Ashwaubenon
Wildcats got things started in the first inning when Grace Vincent singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Ashwaubenon tied things up at five when J Hillburt singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
After Wildcats scored two runs in the top of the sixth, Ashwaubenon answered with two of their own. Wildcats scored when Kayla Characklis doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Claire Pedersen doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. Ashwaubenon then answered when Hillburt doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
K Cleveland led things off on the rubber for Ashwaubenon. She allowed eight hits and five runs over six innings, striking out four.
Katie Agatucci was on the mound for Wildcats. She lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing ten hits and six runs while striking out nine and walking one.
Wildcats had eight hits in the game. Pedersen and Vincent all had multiple hits for Wildcats. Vincent and Pedersen each collected two hits to lead Wildcats.
Ashwaubenon racked up ten hits on the day. Hillburt, Z Estano, and C Brabunt all collected multiple hits for Ashwaubenon. Hillburt went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Ashwaubenon in hits. Ashwaubenon was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. S Zabel had the most chances in the field with eight.
