Wildcats Goes Down On Final Play Against Oak Harbor
A walk-off left Wildcats on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat to Oak Harbor on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Oak Harbor batting in the bottom of the tenth when Katie Agatucci induced Lauren St. Clair to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
In the first inning, Wildcats got their offense started when Violet Kehoe singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
Ashley Riley got the start for Oak Harbor. She lasted ten innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out ten.
Agatucci led things off on the hill for Wildcats. She surrendered three runs on nine hits over nine and a third innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Grace Vincent went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Wildcats in hits.
Oak Harbor collected nine hits on the day. Kaytlynn Sandwisch and Seree Petersen each had multiple hits for Oak Harbor.
